Content in digital format is constantly increasing. Our private, institutional and public archives are being stored in increasingly cheaper and more capable formats. They communicate through restrictive or open networks, building a massive continuum. How to locate information within it? The quantitative and qualitative search use archival and linguistic technologies, automatic strategies and human intervention and mobilize companies and collaborative efforts. There are attempts to lay the foundations of a "semantic web", and capitalize on the existence of browsers, all this in a medium with a strong presence of multilingualism. These are the topics that this seminar will address, with debate and interdisciplinary communication as main components.

The seminar will be of interest to those involved in the creation or use of search technologies: researchers, linguists, information managers, editors, etc.
It is also aimed at secondary school teachers interested in the systems of access to information.
